A prerequisite for making something like this is a total lack of having anything better to do. If you don’t do drugs like me then I suppose a good dose of insanity is probably another key ingredient. Then I’d rather be abnormal. “Normal” or “the norm” is so utterly boring. Take fashion or trends. I’ve been checking out furniture trends lately. French provincial is now the “in” thing. Why? Because the media gods has decided. And the lime wash thing? Still going strong.
I wish people were a little more adventurous in their sense of taste and style but as with everything else they have to be told what they like and how to live. So they end up buying things they don’t like with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t know.
