Hi
I have a Dewalt bandsaw which blade does not want to turn when I switch it on . I have to swing the top pully before it starts to turn. I have changed the capasitor but it still does the same. I have been told that the winder may be fualty. Is it worth it to replace the winder. Any idea what it will cost ?
Howzit Arthur. If a new cap doesn't do the trick, it is beyond me. Can you take the motor off? When I have this kind of problem I take the motor to the clever guys! Any electric motor rewinding business can test it and give you a quote. No idea what it will cost.
Look in Yellow Pages under Rewinders or Armature Winders. Good luck!
